The Grasshopper-ARCHICAD Live Connection
October 4, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PDT
ALL MEMBERS – Algorithmic and associative design using Grasshopper and Rhino is pushing the boundaries of a project. Until recently this created a stall in workflow. The Grasshopper-ARCHICAD connection makes a better workflow possible.
Join us to discover how San Francisco-based Claudio Martonffy Design has embraced this connection to create eye-popping designs while maintaining a smooth workflow. You’ll uncover how associate design and Grasshopper allow for a new way of designing and how it changes the workflow. Through a case study on Parametric Pavilion, you’ll explore how to:
- Define geometry parameters in Grasshopper
- Generate ARCHICAD beams and other BIM geometry directly into an ARCHICAD file
- Understand the changes in Grasshopper parameters update the ARCHICAD 3D views and documentation.
Beyond the design, you’ll also see how the Enscape Architectural Real-time Rendering plug-in is used to to create virtual walk throughs.
